This video starts the series of videos on “applied procrastinatology“ - the art of getting more done without wasting yourself / pushing to the limits / leaving the comfort zone and other BS like that. The main idea is that we should understand how our mind does work and adopt our stratigiest ot that mechanisms. We (humans) are not rational nor logical cratures. Most of our actions are driven by impulses. Also it is far not enough to KNOW how we should behave (everybody knows it well enough), the main problem is to adjust our behaviour to the knowledge we already got. ____ When I was in my 20s I had huge problems on my way of adopting such methodologies as GTD or time management. I was very close to believe that I do have some mental problems. I've spent more than 10 years studying scientific papers in psychology, sociology, neuro siences in order to make clear what was going on in me head. In fact there was nothing wrong. It is absolutely normal... Everybody procrastinate... I've published two books about that in Russian but for English speaking audience I do have 5 webinars.
