And for hundreds of years the best way to communicate knowledge and thoughts has been the written word. The language to know has changed over time, first, it was greek, then Latin and now it is English. Reading is the best way to improve your vocabulary, even if the pronunciation is not perfect, I believe knowing the words is the most important part. So, how do we motivate people to read in a language that they haven’t mastered yet? The answer might be very simple. You have to read about something that you want to know more about. -You like exercise? get a fitness magazine. -You like chess? find a magazine about chess. -You like fashion? Pick up Vogue in English. Yes, reading about economics and politics will also help you in the same way. But unless you are really passionate about those subjects it will be much slower. If magazines don’t interest you, choose a good book. A great novel. And
