Art Kahn & His Orchestra - He’s The Last Word, Fox-Trot (Donaldson & Kahn) with Vocal Chorus, Columbia 1926 (USA) NOTE: This song, made popular in 1926 by numerous recordings by Art Kahn, Ben Pollack with vocal chorus by Williams Sisters, by Ben Bernie’s band and largely popular Annette Hanshaw and Jane Gray has today became one of the epithomes of the American jazz age. For this unusual tune I prepared collection of some unusual guys from the old days (“he’s the last word!“), each of whom could even today make many a woman dizzy.
