Tory rebel Swayne tears into Boris government as it seeks to extend Covid laws for six months

Desmond Swayne this afternoon lashed out against Boris Johnson's government that wants to extend Covid laws, in the United Kingdom, for six months. Sir Desmond Swayne was speaking during a debate in the House of Commons. He said: “Tyranny is a habit and we haven’t quite kicked it. By any measure the emergency is over & the vaccination campaign is the guarantee against its return. Yet the Government seeks to retain powers to control aspects of our lives and implement a punishment regime for disobedience.“
