Historical Scandinavian burial mound grave remains still exist today. Some of the largest mounds are in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Archaeological exploration has revealed a variety of sophisticated and also common supplies buried with the bodies to assist them in the afterlife. These included many types of battle weapons like axes, swords, spears, bows and arrows, and whole raiding ships buried underground. Other discoveries include musical instruments, many types of tools, and animals. Depending on who got buried, and who did the digging, every grave is different.
