This video is a step by step guided tutorial showing the whole process from start to finish. Scroll down to see the list of materials you will need for this art project. 📜There are also some interesting facts and historical information about Medieval sea traveling and exploration, developing of seafaring, shipbuilding and navigation, famous explorers such as Bartolomeu Dias, Marco Polo, Ferdinand Magellan, the start of European business trade in Asia and spices trade in Medieval Europe. 📜This illumination design features acanthus, sea serpent, wave pattern, dots, Medieval ship with flag and sailors. Watch how to imitate Medieval manuscripts, how to create an old paper texture. Traditional manuscript illumination requires expensive materials such as vellum or parchment paper.
