The Pursuit 🎼 my relationship with the guitar has always been a bit of an obsession in finding different ways to play it. I had my mind blown when I first saw footage of Eddie Van Halen playing ‘Eruption’ or when I heard the stories of Robert Johnson inventing otherworldly riffs nearly 100 years ago, when I sat front row and watch Jeff Lang playing lap slide for the first time or when a friend showed me a video of Michael Hedges performing ‘Ariel Boundaries’. I’ve always loved the instrument no matter how it’s played but have particularly enjoyed taking the backroads to discover a new sound or two. ‘The Pursuit’ is the next step in my journey anyway. I know that it seems strange to release 3 minutes of experimental guitar in this day and age but it is important to me and I feel like it will resonate with a lot of the people who come to my shows and listen to my music.
