We heard it might come. We saw it coming. We couldn’t believe it was starting. We watched it unfold, despite the many voices screaming “scam!”. The sense of foreboding that such a thing be done has not gone. It is frightening. That particular play played its part to be followed by the next. The tools at the disposal of the playwrights are many, story over story over half truth over narrative by-product, over misdirection, over preliminary goal, over ultimate goal so let’s watch some more TV. Or, . . .
