Richard Milton was at Santa Pod Raceway for the GTI Spring Festival, in his 1210BHP RS3 powered VW Caddy, built and installed at his workshop (Kernow Transporters Ltd), and modified and tuned by Storm Developments, and running a Precision 76/75 Turbo. Richard, who previously the day before ran a 10.0 down in Cornwall, loaded up his Caddy and drove to Santa Pod, to compete in the VWDRC Heads Up competition. He was also aiming to get the Caddy into the 9's, which he did, with a best run of @ 146mph. As far as we know, that is a World Record and no other Panel Van Caddy has run quicker. However, once done, Richard put on his road legal wheels and tyres, and went back out to have a go at the street legal World Record, which was set by Stephen Gibbons in 2017, with an @ 120mph. Richard smashed this with a @ 140mph. He had one more run, with a bit more boost, but this proved too much for the tyres, and Richard called it a day. What an achievement, and what a brilliant day. Watch out for this on
