In July of 2010 I was lucky enough to get front row seats to Michael Bay & the rest of the Transformers 3 film crew as they... transformed... Chicago into a battle zone for Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon. I worked at the time in an office located at 35 East Wacker Dr, which would itself be used as a filming location, which gave me access to view the VFX shots being filmed in front of what was named Hotel 71 at the time. I only had a Nikon D90 which could only do 720P video & a budget Tokina lens but I was able to capture this VFX sequence being filmed. They had rehearsed it all day and cleared the area from on lookers. Fast forward to today. I guess I wanted to see what it'd look like after all the processing was done and synced up the film. Found out they re-used it 4 times to make the final sequence. Love all the Transformers films & Michael Bay movies in general. No copyright infringement intended nor can I even monetize this video. All credits for the film footage goes to: TM & © Paramount (2011)
