FRED COLE: 3 Character Songs

These three songs were co-written by Fred Cole (lyrics and music) and Steve Koski (music) and performed acoustically (1968). Fred sings lead vocal; Steve and another Weeden member, Ron Buzzell, play guitars and add backing vocals. Please overlook the marginal audio (rehearsal tapes!) and enjoy a naive glimpse into small-town life, with two caricatures—“Suzy Jones” (school flirt?) and “Lie Detector” (more romantic antics)—and a memoir of “Old Jake”, an old-timer selling pencils on the street.
