#atoyday #solarsystemdiy #planetsdiy #solarsytemforkids #diyopticaltoy Watch Bottle Caps Game: Today we are making Optical Illusion Toy THAUMATROPE. It's a popular toy that dates all the way back to the 19th century. Pretty simple project today however it was a shock invention when people saw two separate drawings came together! Examples of early thaumatrope pictures include a bare tree on one side of the disk, and its leaves on the other, or a bird on one side and a cage on the other. Our toy includes the Sun on one side and 8 planets on the other: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Excellent for preschool, kindergarten or school to introduce the basics of early animation. How to learn the order of the planets? Just remember: My Mercury Very Venus Educated Earth Mom Mars Just Jupiter Served Saturn Us Uranus Nachos Neptune But where is Pluto? Pluto is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt, a ring of bodies beyond Neptune. Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930 and was originally considered to be the ninth planet from the Sun. Pluto is very small, only about half the width of the United States, that's the main reason why Pluto was relegated to “dwarf-planet“ status by the International Astronomical Union in 2006. ========================================== Subscribe to watch upcoming videos:
