Commander-in-Chief Syrsky announced the withdrawal of units from Avdeevka and the transition to defense “to more advantageous lines” According to General Tarnavsky, personnel have already been withdrawn from the city. Russian sources claim that not everyone managed to get out and some units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces remain in the city, trying to get through to their own.
