Making the Dragonskin Timascus Ring | Heat forged timascus

Get Your Dragon Skin Timascus Ring: Today we're making a Dragon Skin Timascus Ring. This ring starts as two different titanium alloys. These alloys are combined to create a unique scale like (or dragon skin) pattern. The alloy is made and then forged in a sheet. We take the sheet and cut out a small square. The square then gets rounded on a belt sander. This allows it to be the proper shape to fit in the lathe jaws. From there we drill a hole and cut the inner diameter of the Timascus ring with the lathe. We then cut the outer diameter and give the ring a rounded profile. Our second to last step is to use the dremel to sand a premium finish. Finally, we use the torch to flame anodize the Timascus making our Dragon Skin Ring complete.
