Shostakovich's Waltz No. 2 or Shostakovich's Serenade-Waltz Op. 99a, is a waltz allegretto poco moderato for symphony orchestra, 7th of eight movements of his Suite for Variety Orchestra No. 1 Op. 50b, composed in 1956 by the Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975). It is one of his most famous works, often performed independently (the Suite for Variety Orchestra No. 1 of 1956 is often confused with the Suite for Jazz Orchestra No. 2 of 1938).
