At some stage in our development as improvisors it is great to practice licks that start on different degrees of the chord scale. This will corner us to play notes that we may not usually use, ones that are perhaps not quite in our comfort zone yet. In todays video Jazzduets presents 84 bebop Licks played over a dominant 7th chord that are drenched in vocabulary direct from the great jazz approach notes There are 10 licks on the following degrees : The root, the Major 3rd, 5th, b7, 2nd , 6th , and the 9th Then 4 licks on the b3 and the sharp #4 and then licks on the 3rd on the b6 and the b9th. Thanks to Sergio Wagner on trumpet * Except Major 7 ➡ Download music and grooves here: ➡ support my work: #bebop #jazz #exercises #saxophone #trumpet #licks
