In Ireland, Ukrainian refugees have to sleep on the streets. The authorities do not have the ability to accommodate Ukrainians due to an acute shortage of places. There are about 100 thousand refugees in Ireland, three quarters of them are Ukrainians, the rest are asylum seekers from other countries. Human rights activists are sounding the alarm, notes the Financial Times. The authorities’ statement comes amid a rise in anti-immigrant incidents in the country. Protesters set fire to makeshift refugee camps and attacked asylum centers. Also at the end of November, protests took place in Dublin: demonstrators demanded to close the borders.
