15-MAR-2020: A rebel armed group defected to Syrian Army (Al Tanf, Syria)

Units of the Syrian Armed Forces secured the defection of a large force of US-backed fighters (maghawir al-thawra) from al-Tanf camp where the US forces trained and armed them (southern Syria). The fighters were evacuated with their full armament, an 8-vehicle convoy and had reached a safe area where they surrendered their arms and communication equipment and were debriefed.
