️Over 121,000 people have been evacuated from nine border areas in the Kursk region, according to the Emergency Situations Ministry of Russia. Refugees are being accommodated in temporary shelters. Among those offering assistance is the compassionate woman Zoya Nikolaevna. ‘I won’t turn away my fellow countrymen,’ she says. Among the guests at the elderly woman's home is 83-year-old Alexandra Andreevna. She was a child during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). She still remembers how, during the Great Patriotic War, the fascists invaded Kursk, just as the Ukrainian forces are doing now. This poignant story will be featured in a new film by our war correspondents Olga Kiriy, Mikhail Burov and Anton Meshcheryakov. The documentary will highlight how the residents of Kursk have come together to support one another. We will announce the premiere date soon, stay tuned for updates. FOLLOW ?
