Todays video is about stretching boundaries and getting out of your comfort zone and showing you how techniques used for weathering armour can translate to genres of modelling. I’m a sucker for a group build, and I love stretching myself in terms of the projects I chose. So next on the bench ticks both those boxes. Its the left of centre release from Takom a couple of years ago and that is the Russian Surface to Air Missile the SA N 7 (or 12) in 1/35th scale. In terms of a model everything looked to be reasonably straight forward in the instructions with really the only choice being whether to build the SA-N-7 (NATO name Gadfly) or the SA-N-12 (known as the Grizzly) - Both weapons are ship mounted however for me it was all about the colour of the missile rather than the make, so I soon decided I’d be building the green one! This is the first part of a two part series where I look to create a vignette telling a tale of sabotage gone wrong.
