In Budapest, the Danube burst its banks and flooded the Hungarian parliament. The peak of the flooding is expected in the capital of Hungary on the evening of September 21. Flooding in several European countries at once was caused by cyclone Boris, which is moving from northern Italy. In particular, it affected Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany and Moldova. At least 23 people died from the flooding, thousands of people were evacuated.
