Exercises to practice the verb LIKE in English (Present Simple Tense) These exercises are divided into three sections: ACTIVITY 1: MULTIPLE CHOICE A sentence or question appears on the screen with a blank space in it. Students need to complete that space by choosing one of the three options below it (which are some form of the verb LIKE). Only one of those alternatives is grammatically correct. The correct answer will appear on the screen after around 5 seconds. Also, there is a cartoon next to the sentence that helps with understanding vocabulary. ACTIVITY 2: WHAT DO THEY LIKE? Three characters appear on the screen: Jason, Anna, and Rover (the dog). Under their name either a green TICK or a red CROSS appears. There will also be an image of something such as pizza, roses, fish, smelly socks, ice cream, snakes, or old bones. The viewer needs to say what these three characters like and don't like using full sentences. Again, the correct sentences appears after 5 seconds.
