I’m setting out on a journey to K2 base camp and the GGLA pass in Pakistan, chasing one of the greatest challenges I’ve ever set for myself. After doing the Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal last year, I wanted to see what a similar trek would be like in Pakistan. And... this was quite a different experience. Twelve days, over 160 kilometers of trekking, reaching an altitude of 5,600 meters. And I definitely got my fair share of challenges along the way… In this video, you’ll see the first six days of the K2 trek. Part two is coming next week! * Day Zero: We start by gathering in Skardu and going on a long, bumpy jeep ride to Askoli, the starting point of the trek. * Day One: We begin our hike through the scorching heat and dusty paths, all the way to Joula. * Day Two: We face the biggest challenge of these first few days: heat, sun, and more heat. * Day Three: A much-needed rest day in Paju. * Day Four: Things start to ramp up as we make our way to Khoburtse camp.
