Titles read: “FOOTBALL FACTORY“. Location: William Thomllinson Ltd, 450 Dumbarton Rd, Partick, Glasgow Various shots show the entire process of making footballs in a factory. Leather is bleached and left to dry then cut into shapes which are sewn together using machines and by hand. The ball is then turned right side out and pumped up. Brief sequence shows very scratched shots of men playing football on a pitch. Notes from the former Director of Thomlinson who contacted Pathe: “This film shows makers of the Thomlinson “ImprovedT“ football which was composed of T shaped panels, as can be seen on the video.
