Russia may have used a new type of guided bomb in airstrikes on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv that killed at least one person, as per local Ukrainian officials. Sergey Bolvinov, head of the investigative police department in Kharkiv, said the attack marked the first time aerial bombs were used since 2022. Russia claims to have destroyed a fifth US-made Abrams tank in the Avdiivka region over the past day. President Putin has rubbished claims that Russia is planning to attack Europe and said American “satellites” in Eastern Europe have no reason to be afraid.
