Stageira. A city where you will find ancient Greece at every step. Stageira is a village located at the foot of Mount Stratonikos (Strebenikos), at an altitude of approximately 500 meters, on the north-eastern side of Halkidiki. The distance from the city of Thessaloniki is 73 kilometers. They got their name from the ancient city of Stagira, which is located in a coastal position 10 kilometers further east, next to Olympiada and is the place where the philosopher and scientist Aristotle was born.
