Eddie Murphy stand up comedy from the 1983 HBO TV special Delirious. The 70-minute special was Eddie Murphy's first feature stand-up and the lead in to the wide theatrical release of Eddie Murphy Raw in 1987. Delirious was also released as an album in October 1983, titled Eddie Murphy: Comedian. The album won Best Comedy Album at the 1984 Grammy Awards. Unlike his acts on Saturday Night Live, Murphy's performance was very profane, saying the “f“ word a total of 230 times, and the “s“ word 171 times (although quite tame by today's standards.) The show was recorded at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. The Bixbie Media YouTube channel is an excellent source for comedy. In addition to the Monday Monologue, you will also find vintage stand-up, commercial parodies, and original sketch style comedy. (links below). Like and subscribe if you want, or don't. Do whatever. You be you. Anybody still read? My new book “Sex, Lies, & High School Principals“ is a witty, irreverent comedy about decision making, accountability, and why you shouldn’t lie to your wife.
