Inversive fiction is a 2016 neo-noir crime black comedy short film written and directed by Evgeniy Surkov. Directed in a highly stylized manner, Inversive Fiction connects the intersecting storylines of Lyceum graduators, man on duty, local gangsters, and a mysterious briefcase. Inversive Fiction’s narrative is told out of chronological order, there are a total of five narrative sequences; the three primary storylines are preceded by intertitles: “Prologue —The Vigil“ (I) Prelude to “Grigory Stepanov and Dedinsky’s student“ “Grigory Stepanov and Dedinsky’s student“ “The broken globe situation“ “Epilogue —The Vigil“ (II) It was firstly shown May 21st on the graduation of Lyceum The Second School’s 11th grade.
