On a German movie tour in the winter of 1981, the two filmmakers Ute Aurand and Ulrike Pfeiffer used two 16-mm cameras to capture their impressions of train journeys. The train window becomes a screen onto which they project fleeting winter landscapes and mirror images that are in constant motion, inviting free association.
