Are fat people the next lab rats for Big Pharma? UK’s Keir Starmer plans to roll out fatloss vaccines on the unemployed. There are million unemployed in the UK - how many of them are obese, I am not privy to. BUT, since when does Big Pharma win such large tenders for drugs in stages of trials? The £280m investment by the UK into Lilly, the world’s largest pharmaceutical company & makers of weight-loss drug Mounjaro, will see the first real-world trials of the drugs’ effect on the obese unemployed & their productivity. So it’s not just the drug trials at the cost of the taxpayer - but the consequent monitoring of whether that person then gets a job. Is this government overreach? What are your thoughts?
