Ukraine's human rights commissioner told Reuters on Thursday (January 25) that a list shared in Russian media of prisoners of war said to have been aboard the crashed plane had discrepancies and had included the names of prisoners who had already been exchanged. “Yes, we found Ukrainian citizens in the list who have already been previously exchanged,“ Dmytro Lubinets told Reuters. Russia has accused Ukraine of shooting down a military transport plane carrying 65 captured Ukrainian soldiers to a prisoner exchange. Reuters could not independently confirm the names on the list or its authenticity. Ukraine has neither confirmed nor denied the accusation but has challenged details of Russia's account and has demanded an international investigation.
