The new version of the KUKA KR SCARA robot features two models: KR6 R500 and KR6 R700, both with the same payload of 6 kg and the same longitudinal travel of 200 mm. The main actuations for the movement of the end effector are located along axis 2, from pneumatics to digital IOs and field buses. The big news in the KR SCARA offer, however, is the new KR C5 micro control, which is about 70% more compact than the previous version, but still contains all the features of its predecessor with the addition of new possibilities, such as 16 integrated digital In and Out, more Ethernet ports that can be managed with different field buses, and IOT protocols. KR SCARA is very fast and compact, ideal for the Fast Moving Consumer Goods market, handling any material quickly, thanks to dedicated software such as pick & place or multipicking.
