EAT gathered 37 of the planet’s foremost experts who, for the first time ever, propose scientific targets for what constitutes both a healthy diet and a sustainable food system. The result was the EAT-Lancet Commission on Food, Planet, Health, which was published in The Lancet medical journal and launched in Oslo on January 17. Prof. Walter Willett (Harvard University) and Prof. Johan Rockström (Potsdam Institue and Stockholm Resilience Centre) presented the report at the EAT-Lancet Launch Lecture in the University of Oslo Aula, January 17, 2019. The Commission delivered the first full scientific review of what constitutes a healthy diet from a sustainable food system, and which actions can support and speed up food system transformation.
