We call an ecosystem the physical and biological system formed by a community of living beings, like animals and plants, that inhabit a delimited physical environment. That is, it is a community of physical and biological factors particular to a specific environment. That said, there is in this ecosystem a relationship of interdependence between the different animals and living beings that compose it. In this way, a change in one link in the chain can have consequences in a completely different and apparently distant link. Currently, human activity is one of the fundamental factors that is endangering the survival of our ecosystems. Large industrial discharges, pollution, or the excessive use of non-biodegradable materials such as plastic, year after year diminish the capacity of these ecosystems to regenerate.
