GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Panthers () | Jeff Carter Scores His 400th Goal

This was a wild one. Jake Guentzel made his return to the lineup for the Penguins, which was certainly a welcome sight. This, by itself, was a milestone - Guentzel skated in his 300th career NHL game. The Penguins fell behind, 2-0, until Danton Heinen scored in his second-straight game. Then, Jeff Carter knotted things up, 2-2. Carter's tally was his 400th career NHL goal, and he became the seventh active player to reach that milestone. Jake Guentzel showed all the patience in the world to give the Penguins a 3-2 lead, tracking down a puck behind the net, out-waiting the Florida netminder Bobrovsky, and banking his shot in from behind the net off of a defenseman's shin pad. Evan Rodrigues increased Pittsburgh's lead with some determination at the front of the net, but then, Florida made things interesting.
