This video features an early succes by Franz Grothe : the tango “Mein Fräulein, ich verehre Sie!“ (Lit. Fräulein, I adore you) in a version by the Marek Weber (1888-1964) orchestra - one of Germany's and Europe's most popular and prolific bands. The singer is Leo Monosson (1897-1967) who used the alias of Leo Moll for this recording. Monosson co-wrote the lyrics of “Mein Fräulein, ich verehre Sie!“. This record is a prime example of the sophisticated style of Marek Weber supported by Monosson's singing. Released in 1931, it saddens one to think that barely two years later both had to leave Germany....
