The song, which was written by Bill and Doree Post, provides a detailed list of reasons “why I love you.“ In 1960, the song reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Sixteen Reasons“ is featured in 2001 film Mulholland Drive. Connie Stevens was born Concetta Rosalie Anna Ingolia in Brooklyn, New York. She is probably best known for her work as Cricket Blake in the popular TV detective series Hawaiian Eye, which aired from 1959 to 1963. Stevens recalls that one time when on the set of Hawaiian Eye, she was told she had a telephone call from Elvis Presley. She didn't believe it, but it really was from Elvis. He invited her to a party and said that he would come to her house and pick her up personally. He did and they dated a bit. Stevens also appeared in films and numerous TV shows including 77 Sunset Strip, Maverick, Sugarfoot, Wendy and Me, The Love Boat, Starting from Scratch, and many more. She has been married and divorced twice, once to actor James Stacy and then to Eddie Fisher, with whom she had two daughters. After having financial difficulties in the 1990s, she became an entrepreneur with a line of beauty products and made a fortune.
