Tarasova competing!!!! Rare as hens teet;, this was always one of my holy grails. So happy to have found footage of her actually competing with her partner Georgi Proskurin. He went on to partner Galina Karelina, and their biggest success was winning the bronze medal at the 1971 Europeans in Zurich. Unfortunately they had a disasterous skate at the following Worlds in Lyon, falling on a lift, a sbs jump and a death spiral, plummeting to 8th and that was the end of that. Tarasova of course, was already laying the groundwork for her living legend status as a coach and all round goddess of the sport!
