China has showcased its latest military weapon: rifle-toting robot dogs. During a joint military exercise with Cambodia, China demonstrated these remote-controlled robots that can navigate obstacles, fire at targets, and operate independently for up to four hours. According to Chinese soldier Chen Wei, the mechanical canines will “serve as a new member in urban combat operations,” and can potentially replace human soldiers.
