A quick, 1-minute video showing a standing partner drill that introduces a very fast transition between traditional “hard style“ breakfalls (with slap), to soft style (“feather“) breakfalls. The key difference is that in the soft falls, the student attempts to stretch the hand out far to the side with a “drilling“ motion, touching the mat before falling (instead of slapping at the end of the fall).
