Прогулка по историческому центру Москвы. Лето 2023 Улица Петровка — одна из основных и самых старых улиц центра столицы. Проходит от Театральной площади до Среднего Каретного переулка. Названа по Высоко-Петровскому монастырю, основанному в конце 14 века. Название «Петровка» употребляется с начала 17 века и с тех пор ни разу не менялось, что считается редкостью для исторических улиц центра Москвы. В 18 веке улица стала интенсивно застраиваться — во второй половине века здесь появились особняки московской знати. В 19 веке Петровка стала одной из главных торговых улиц Москвы. Summer 2023 Petrovka Street is one of the main and oldest streets in the center of the capital. It runs from the Theater Square to the Middle Carriage Lane. It is named after the Vysoko-Petrovsky Monastery, founded at the end of the 14th century. The name “Petrovka“ has been used since the beginning of the 17th century and has never changed since then, which is considered a rarity for the historical streets of the Moscow center. In the 18th century, the street began to be intensively built up — in the second half of the century, mansions of the Moscow nobility appeared here. In the 19th century Petrovka became one of the main shopping streets of Moscow. Many remarkable historical buildings have been preserved on Petrovka.
