[K-PEOPLE] Soprano Elena DEE, The 3rd Generation Ethnic Korean in Moldova Soprano Elena DEE has risen to fame for playing the female lead in all three renowned operas of Giacomo Puccini, “La Boheme,” “Tosca,” and “Madama Butterfly.” She is a Moldovan opera singer who also comes from a Korean background due to her Korean great grandparents who moved to Sakhalin when Korea was occupied by Japan. Having performed actively on stages in Italy, France, UK, Russia, Netherlands, and Belgium on the back of great singing skills, a voice that makes all audience emotional, and superb acting skills, she also visited Korea as she was cast as the lead of “Tosca”, which is set to opening opera at the Chuncheon Opera Festival.
