Dr. Paul Offit is a professional vaccine developer and advisor to the FDA, so about as far as one could imagine from an anti-vaxxer. Yet during a recent appearance on CNN, Dr. Offit insisted that without substantial additional study, the current crop of bivalent boosters should not be recommended for otherwise healthy young people. Needless to say, this opinion conflicts with current CDC guidelines, leading the bemused CNN host to inquire whether it’s still a good idea to just have kids get the boosters anyway.
