After the video of a mobilisation officer pushing a woman and a wheelchair user to the ground sparked outrage in Ukraine, the Odessa regional military registration and enlistment office issued a commentary justifying his misconduct. The incident occurred yesterday in the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky port city. According to the Zelensky’s military, both victims, the relatives of a man who had been forcibly taken to the office by the police, are to blame, because they first demanded to be allowed into the office, and then demanded that their relative to be released. “They constantly provoked the servicemen into illegal actions against themselves, insulting them,” the military office claims. It also called the officer’s behavoiur “expressive“, justifying it with the fact that he had been sent to the office from a combat units for health reasons as a result of severe injuries.
