This 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Roush Supercharged Coyote Pro Touring Restomod is painted in its original color of Competition Blue. With a Roush Supercharger sitting atop a Coyote and paired up with a Tremec 5-speed manual, independent front suspension with a custom front subframe, and even a 4-linked rear with Ridetech Coilovers, this Cougar has all the show and all the GO! A Full Cougar Eliminator dress-up kit was installed with a blacked-out hood scoop and a black Eliminator stipe has been placed along the straight body lines. The matching front and spoiler are not only stylish but hold this Cougar down to the road. The wheels on this cougar are staggered Custom made American Racing Shelby wheels with a massive 315mm wide Toyo Proxes R888 tire. TMI leather and black suede bucket seats, Dakota Digital gauges, Power windows, Vintage air conditioning, and a Rockin alpine sound system, come together in a super Custom and Pro-Touring finish! As we Lift the hood the gem appears, a 5-liter Coyote engine with a Roush supercharger placed delicately on top. Mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, modern reliability and modern amenities of today surround you with such things as a power rack and pinion steering, a high amp alternator, and even Vintage Air conditioning. The full engine bay of this cougar has seen its fair share of blood sweat and tears, with hundreds of hours to accomplish this front strut tower delete, this conversion was worth it and one-of-a-kind. And having such a high horsepower Engine means the cooling system should be upgraded. A fully custom-mounted Be Cool oversized aluminum radiator was installed with dual electronic cooling fans. An aluminum Be Cool Supercharger Reservoir and a full custom black billet aluminum catch can was also installed to help cool this high-horsepower beast down. A full custom cold air induction system was manufactured and inserted into the driver-side wheel well housing through a K&N Air filter to grasp the coldest air possible! And last but not least all of the hoses have full nylon Techflex braided hose covers throughout, considered the icing on the cake. And don't worry with all that power we do have power Wilwood brakes with drilled and slotted rotors stopping this baby on all 4 corners. Taking a glimpse at the underbody of this Cougar, she's just that solid and stout! Upfront we have a ProTouring front subframe that makes this conversion possible. A full power rack and pinion steering were molded into that subframe, and also holds the independent front suspension. Tubular upper and lower control arms are paired with Ridetech adjustable Coilovers and the Hyper Co. springs absorb every bump placed in this Cougars way. Securing a tight cornering position are the front and rear sway bars that have been paired up with the welded and bolted frame connectors. Pushing this Cougar to the limits, you were able to do just that, with a matching set of Ridetech rear Coilovers and Hyper Co. springs, the 4-link rear is fully adjustable at every corner. The attention to detail was not spared as a Custom Exhaust has a side exit with Magnaflow mufflers expelling all the horsepower through two chrome tips just before the rear tires. And finally just as any high horsepower car would, a custom stainless steel gas tank conversion was installed and has a mirror like finish letting you get a glimpse at that beautiful Ford 9” rear end. 00:00 - Cinematic Start-Up 00:14 - POV Driving Review Website: Facebook: Instagram: Tiktok: @noreserveclassics
