Mayris Chaney and Edward Fox perform “The Dance Divine“ from the Alhambra. Mayris and Edward come running backwards onto the stage. He waves his top hat and cane, she waves a floaty handkerchief and throws a bunch of flowers offstage. (They are presumably newlyweds off on their honeymoon and she is throwing the bouquet.) They embrace and the dance begins. Lots of twirling, elegant balletic steps and acrobatic throws. Mayris wears a long flowing white dress which she primps and flaps around. It is a bit like a courtship ritual - she spurns him than embraces him etc. He swings her around. Note: flash-frame intertitles. Looks like the dance was filmed in the Pathe Studio rather than at the Alhambra Theatre. Was an item in Eve's Film Review issue number 436. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
