The Rafah refugee camp, near the Gaza-Egypt border, is seeing a rapid expansion due to the resumption of Israeli strikes in Gaza. Drone footage captured on Monday shows the scale of the expansion, as more tents and makeshift buildings appear wherever there is room. Israel has once again ordered hundreds of thousands of Gazans to ‘evacuate,’ leading many to flee south to Rafah. According to UN figures, the current population of the camp stands at 133,326, with more expected. Strikes resumed in the region on December 1 after a truce deal was terminated, with Israel claiming Hamas ‘broke’ the agreement.
