I play around a lot with video and music, changing the mood, the emphasis, or whatnot... but never, NEVER, have I done something that touched me so much as this. Removing the grand, full orchestra with all it's pomp and drama, and replacing it with a bare bones minimalistic piece of music has never changed something so much. This pas de deux went from a larger-than-life, dramatic dance of passion to an exquisitely fragile moment of intimacy. You almost feel as if you're intruding on something so personal and so beautiful, you have no business watching. This may be one of my favorite “musical experiments.“ I think I broke my heart watching it...
