Featured is an instructive chess game between Mikhail Tal and Burkhard Malich from 1958. Tal chooses the Richter-Rauzer variation in response to Burkhard's Classical Sicilian. The main plan we observe against black's doubled f-pawn structure consists of pressure being applied to e6 in an attempt to gain access to d5. Black's plan is to find a productive role for his unopposed dark-squared bishop. #MikhailTal #SicilianDefense #Richter-Rauzer I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
