In 2010 whilst working for Neil Corbould Special Effects I was asked to design and build a fully working replica of a World War I British Mark IV Male Tank. Dream project for me and with the help of a talented crew and only 10 weeks to go we set about our build. The first three weeks I spent on CAD sorting through all the intricacies of the design of a Mark IV Male whilst the rest of the crew prepared our donor excavator which would provide the track chains and power pack. It was hard work but a very rewarding build and thanks to everyone it ran faultlessly all throughout the shooting schedule at the Wisley location. Luckily for me at the end of the shoot Bovington Tank Museum were on the look out for a suitable replica for their summer displays and our tank fitted the bill nicely. He now spends his days at the best possible home for a retired actor. Presented in this slideshow video are a small selection of the photographs I took during the build - Enjoy.
